A visit to the Oxford Islamic Centre – 14 August 2017

The Oxford Rotary Club completed a wonderful and informative tour of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OXCIS) on Monday, 14th August. Despite the holiday period, the tour was well attended and much fun was had by all. The Club would like to relay its sincere thanks to both the tour guides and the Imam for their graciousness and hospitality. One of our members was professionally involved with the fit-out works for the Centre and she was especially delighted to see how well the building is wearing. It was also a pleasure to see the completed Prince of Wales Garden – it looked fantastic even on a grey day!

The tour was followed by an evening meal at the Victoria Arms pub in Old Marston. The food was delicious and the company, as always, convivial!
