Martin Wellings, Stuart Packford, Liz Stock, Deepak Mukhi and Lisa De Leon attended the Meet the Scholars dinner at the Oxford Spires Hotel on 19th October. Our Rotary club is hosting Linda Eggert from Germany who is undertaking a D.Phil in Politics at Oxford University & St Anne’s College.

There are twenty–two Rotary Scholars for the 2017-2018 academic year, which is quite a large group, and the event provided a convivial opportunity for our club members to meet some of the other scholars and to learn more about their respective backgrounds and the areas of graduate study they will be undertaking. The club members were very much impressed by the variety of academic, professional and cultural experience that each scholar demonstrated and we are looking forward to some interesting lunch-time talks. Lisa De Leon will be liaising with Deb Axtel to arrange speaking invitations for the scholars.
